5,477 active Ohio carriers that reported at least 5 power units in both August 2026 and October 2026 grew from 184,124 to 186,776 power units (+1.4%). That ranks Ohio 23 of 51 states by percent change in reported fleet size.
Over the same period their combined reported driver count rose from 150,509 to 155,646 (+3.4%), compared with +0.3% nationally.
KROGER BROKERAGE SERVICES added the most power units, from 455 to 1,198.
Ohio accounts for 5.1% of the net power units added by comparable carriers nationwide.
